Venues

SARtacs is able to run courses in-country at a venue determined by the client or in the UK. The appropriate choice is often determined by the number of students a particular client requires to undertake a course or training programme. Where a larger group of students is involved, the in-country solution normally proves the most cost effective option.

In-country venues

SARtacs will be pleased to discuss the training room requirements with the client. It is understood that many SAR organisations have provision for meeting rooms or a dedicated training suite on site, and this normally proves highly suitable for SARtacs training events. As a basic requirement, training rooms require to have access to whiteboard, flip chart and PC projector facilities. Some of the courses require additional features, such as access to a laptop or desktop PC for the students, and/or space for students to carry out chart plotting exercises.

UK Venues

For training events conducted in the UK, SARtacs has a relationship with the RNLI Lifeboat College at Poole in Dorset. This venue offers very high standards of facility, equipment and administrative support, and SARtacs is pleased to book this as it's preferred facility. Although the College has integrated student accommodation and hotel services, it is not always possible to reserve places for students. Where this is the case, SARtacs will be pleased to advise client organisations and students about local hotel accommodation in the area.
