Consultancy
SARtacs has the experience and knowledge in SAR to offer consultancy skills to a wide range of themes within the business. Also, by working closely with like minded individuals in other areas of emergency response, it is possible to assemble a highly competent team of experts to tackle most problems that the industry faces. SARtacs has had the good fortune to travel extensively over the past 10 years and during that time has sampled various types of SAR organisation, their structure, skills, operational procedure, and equipment systems in use. Some of these organisations have been set in a military culture, others in paramilitary, civilian government and the voluntary sectors. It is the opinion of SARtacs that there is no firm right or wrong way to structure a SAR organisation, however, there is opportunity to pick up the most efficient ideas and processes from each.
The world of SAR is perhaps ready to enter what may be termed the next phase or phase III in the development of SAR systems, where integration of various products towards the combined management of the maritime domain, as well as attention to human element in design will be to the forefront of expectations.
In more recent years, experience in working alongside other systems manufacturers in both hardware and software has exposed SARtacs to the wide range of equipment available to search and rescue. Development in technology is accelerating fast, and it can be difficult for many, particularly smaller SAR organisations to keep pace with innovation and the plethora of organisations and companies offering their wares.
This vast network of SAR organisations and equipment specialists gives SARtacs a wealth of resource to direct towards solving SAR development issues. A more in-depth description of particular themes of consultancy are listed in the linked document.
